1) Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Data Design Consulting collects, uses, and protects the personal information obtained through interactions with our website and staff. As a privacy consultant, I take the management of your personal data seriously.
While under current guidelines I am exempt from the need to comply with the Privacy Act, I none the less adhere to the requirements of the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We collect personal information such as Name, Email, Job Title, and Company Name. We do not collect any sensitive information, nor do we collect or store any personal information from third parties or clients.

We only collect personal information directly through interactions with our website when subscribing to our online courses or through direct means such as during meetings and conferences.
Information may be collected from publicly available sources such as social media profiles or company websites.
b) Anonymity
We respect your right to engage with us Anonymously or using a Pseudonym. We will only require personal information when required by regulations, law or specific requirements, such as processing payments for courses or workshops.
c) Website
We do not collect any personal information via our website. We use the Stripe payment gateway for processing online payments. However, only identify information required to record the payment is collected.
3) Purpose of Collecting Personal Information
The personal information we collect is only used for the purpose it was collected.
a) Website Contact Form
- Primary Purpose: The website contact form information is used to contact an individual who has completed the form.
- Secondary Purposes: We may also use this information to send emails promoting courses, speaking events or other activities of Data Design Consulting.
b) Email / Phone
- Primary Purpose: When emailing Data Design Consulting, we will use the information provided to respond to the enquiry.

c) Online Payments
- Primary Purpose: When making an online payment, we collect the identify information to process and record the payment, issue receipts and coordinate the delivery of any services.

4) How We Use and Disclose Personal Information
- Usage: We only use personal information for the purpose it was collected. Primarily this is to allow us to engage with customers or individuals who are interested in working with us and have contact us via our website, email or over the phone.
- Disclosure: We do not disclose any personal information to third-party entities. The collected data is stored in a cloud Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with data centres located in the European Union on Amazon Web Services (AWS). 5. Security of Personal Information
- Measures: We employ industry-standard security measures, including multi-factor authentication and secure HTTPS websites, to protect this information from unauthorized access.
- Retention and Destruction: We only keep data for as long as is necessary for the purpose it was collected. Information stored in our CRM is reviewed regularly and where found to be no longer required, deleted from the CRM.
5) Access to and Correction of Personal Information
- Access: You may ask us at any time for copies of the information we hold about you. We will provide an output from the CRM of the relevant fields in a format that is suitable for you.
- Correction: If you feel information is incorrect, you may ask for our records to be updated.
- Cost: At not time will we ask for a payment to access or correct personal information.
- Exceptions: There are exceptions under the law where we would not provide access or correct personal information. In these cases, we will explain the reasons for this and offer alternatives to satisfying your enquiry.
6) Direct Marketing
We do not conduct direct marketing activities. If at any time you wish to opt-out of receiving emails from us, you may do so via return email, and we will confirm this has been done.
